Sometimes, the hardest moments in life lead to unexpected discoveries. For me, it began with a surgery to fix acid reflux that went wrong, leaving me unable to eat solid food for months. I lost a dramatic amount of weight, became severely malnourished and suffered both physically and mentally.
During that time, I discovered Paul Stamets, a self-taught mushroom expert whose work opened my eyes to the incredible power of mushrooms to support both body and mind. As I recovered, I tried mushroom supplements and quickly felt the benefits but also saw a problem: many products were filled with cheap fillers, underdosed, or lacked transparency.
Guided by the Japanese philosophy of ikigai, finding purpose in what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs and what can sustain you. I realised this passion could become a mission. That mission became Himiko Super Foods.
I spent over a year researching, testing and vetting suppliers to create high-quality, non-GMO, organic and chemical-free products built on trust and transparency. Today, I take my own products daily and feel the benefits firsthand.
My goal is simple: to share the natural power of mushrooms with people seeking real, preventative wellness in a world full of artificial quick fixes.
